HOUSE OF HORVATH | HOH CARES
As both a family and company, we are passionate about contributing to organizations that make measurable lifelong impacts on the mental and physical well-being of children, youth, adults, and families. For over three decades, we have continued to provide annual donations to a variety of charitable causes that are important to us. In particular, we donate to help further research, to assist in the training of health care professionals, and to contribute to society’s understanding and responsiveness to mental illness.
Our charitable efforts focus on the following areas:
· Children’s mental health and family support (Child Development Institute)
· Humanitarian aid in times of crisis both internationally and in our community (The Red Cross – Church of the Messiah, Avenue Road Food Bank)
· Children’s health (The Sick Kids Hospital Foundation)

The Cigar Family Charitable Foundation began in 2001 when long time cigar industry business partners, the Fuente and Newman families, formalized the dream of improving lives in the mountainous Bonao region of the Dominican Republic. By focusing on families, the children in this cigar producing region have received an opportunity for a better future.
Carrillo Cares was created by renowned cigar maker E.P. Carrillo as an initiative to help charitable organizations and to raise funds for meaningful causes. In the spirit of the E.P. Carrillo Cigar Pledge Prequel cigar earning a 98 rating when it was selected as the Cigar of the Year in 2020, E.P. Carrillo donated almost $90,000 in 2024 alone to the Els For Autism Foundation.
